For new construction as well as for repairs I use only air-dried wood,which has been dried for many years, at least 12 years. I am in possession of very old wood stocks,which are a perfect basis for repairs on old instruments. I also use this for the new construction of my master class instruments. My woods are selected according to their sound characteristics for a perfect interaction of the individual components of each of my instruments.
